This study includes the installation of a KOSTASystem monitoring station on the beach of Zarautz, allowing the morphological evolution of the beach to be monitored in real time. This data together with the characteristics of the marine climate allow the coastal dynamics in the area to be ascertained. Among other applications, it will monitor the behaviour of the coastline, the movement of the sand bars, the position of the return current, or the evolution of the dune.
The area of analysis from the point of view of monitoring the dynamics and morphology of the sand bank using video cameras, is the section delimited laterally between Alle-Punta and Moiarri and between the shoreline and the area where the wave generally break during the habitual storms.
